THE  NEW  ZEALAND  LEGAL  AID  PROGRAM

In recent years the New Zealand legal aid program has grown dramatically.  It now is one of the more generously funded legal aid system (on a per capita basis) in the world.  Administered by a Legal Services Board, this program also has introduced some innovative features. Among them is one of the best websites operated by any national legal aid program.  In particular, the 80  page "Annual Report" available on this website provides a comprehensive description of the New Zealand program along with detailed financial and statistical information about its performance.  

In the future we intend to add a description and analysis of the New Zealand program to this section of the Website.  In the meantime, viewers can access a great deal of information about this important new legal aid program by clicking on the NZ Legal Aid website below.
